Enigma expects all members to abide by the guild Code of Conduct and strive to support the guild's Mission Statement. Information published on this page is continuously reviewed and will be updated if necessary. Please direct any questions regarding the information presented here to an officer.
All potential applicants to the guild must accept the policies outlined on this page and failure to abide by them could result in expulsion from the guild.
The mission of Enigma is to foster a tight-knit community and progress through current content two nights a week. Primarily created as a raiding guild, Enigma welcomes players with interests in all aspects of World of Warcraft. The guild resides on Wyrmrest Accord, a PVE-RP server; while Enigma is not a role-playing guild, we have several members who do role play and welcome role-players to our roster. ^
Enigma is a casual 10-man raiding guild with members who have additional commitments/interests outside of WoW and therefore opt to push progressive content only two nights a week. Our raid schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 6p to 9p server time (Pacific). In addition to raiding, we also run LFR and dungeons regularly for valor capping, loot, and achievements.
We offer a social, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere for all members. Engima's player base is 21+, unless a child of a member wishes to join. Should this occur, all members are expected to maintain G/PG conversations in public channels. Children under the age of 21 will be assigned to a specific child rank to easily identify them. While some of our members may be younger ages, we welcome adult commentary when they are not online. What we do not welcome is politics, religion, or any other controversial discussion topics. Labeling of individuals based on their hobbies and lifestyle will not be tolerated.
If you find yourself willing to delve more into the offerings of Enigma, please take a moment to fill out an application on our site, found here. ^
Guild Membership & Expectations
How to Join Enigma – Members are accepted into the guild once the application process is completed. Interested applicants must complete the questionnaire listed on the Recruitment page for their particular interest level (Member or Raider). Once the application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by all officers of the guild. An interview will be scheduled soon thereafter to discuss the application and address any questions that the recruit or the officers may have. Within 24 hours of the interview you will be notified if you have been accepted into the guild, or if the officers are choosing to decline your application. If accepted, an officer will invite you to join the guild. All members will retain a Trial Member status for 30 days before being promoted to their accepted rank. Permissions will be granted on the guild website soon after the guild invite has been granted, enabling new members to participate immediately in discussions on the forums.
Alts in Enigma –As a member of Enigma, you are more than welcome to install alts into the guild or any other guild of your choice; we understand that there may be circumstances when members would prefer to have characters in other guilds. While we understand this we would ask that it please not interfere with raids or raid progression. If issues arise, they will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Departing Enigma – Should you decide that you do not wish to continue your stay as a member of Enigma, we ask that you be respectful in your departure. Please note that if you leave the guild for any period of time and decide you wish to return, you will have to reapply for membership. All potentially returning applicants will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
Officer – The officer team approves all potential members and raiders of the guild, while handling all guild needs. Needs can include event planning, recruitment, raid leading, managing the guild bank and necessary funding for events, prizes, and repairs. The officers work together to come to decisions which will impact the guild's members and all have an equal voice in the direction of the guild. Officers will handle disputes, morale issues, and any other situations that may arise in a professional and timely manner.
Raider – Raiders are members of the guild's 10-man raid team who have been accepted after an application process. There are some perks that are made available to Raiders, such as feasts for raids, as well as gems and cuts, and enchants (mats permitting). All Raiders are expected to contribute to the guild bank supplies to assist with the gearing of their fellow teammates. Raiders, like all members of Enigma, have access to permanent guild repairs (within reason) and the guild bank.
Member – Members are non-raiding players within Enigma. Players may be friends or family of other members, and are accepted only after an application process to determine personality fit. If any member has an interest in raiding, they can apply via the website and will be given the same considerations and review that an outside applicant would receive. The member rank contains players who enjoy other aspects of the game, whether it be dungeons, pet battles, questing, or RP. Members, like Raiders, have access to permanent guild repairs (within reason) and some aspects of the guild bank.
Hordeling – The Hordeling rank is for children (under 21) of members. Hordelings have access to guild repairs and some aspects of the guild bank. All members of Enigma are expected to be on good behavior when any Hordeling ranked member is online.
Alts – Alts are non-mains of Raiders and Members. The alt rank does not have access to guild repairs and has selective access to the guild bank.
Inactive Members – Members who do not communicate with the officers in regards to WoW sabbaticals will be placed in the Inactive Members rank after 30 days without signing in. Members who return to playing will have their rank reinstated to member status. Raiders who go inactive with no warning and then return after being placed in Inactive status will not be promoted back to Raider rank before review and discussion with the guild management.
Trial Members – Trial Members are recently accepted players to Enigma. All Trial Members must undergo a 30 day period of review by officers and all members of the guild for personality fit and social acclimation. Trial Members will have no access to guild repairs and selective access to the guild bank.
Guild Image – We ask that you help us maintain a positive and friendly image for the guild by not trolling trade, LFR, dungeons, or zones. Please be aware that how you act reflects on your guild tag and its members. Simply put, don't be an asshat.
Respect for Others – Please treat all members of the guild, and even non-guild members, with respect. It is our goal to be approachable and drama-free. Any issues that arise due to lack of respect for other players or drama will be dealt with swiftly.
Guild Inactivity – Real life will always beckon, but we ask that if you are going to be stepping away from the game for an extended period of time, you notify an officer. Individuals who have not informed an officer of their sabbaticals will be placed into an Inactive rank after 30 days. Guild management will purge the Inactive Members rank of any members who have not signed in for 6+ months.
Guild Website – The guild website is the single source of truth for all information about Enigma and should be checked regularly by all members. Boss strategies will be posted here for raider review, as well as upcoming event information, class and character discussions, and general chit chat!
Trading/Selling Accounts – If you have chosen to trade your account to another player, please notify an officer immediately and remove your character(s) from the guild.
