Enigma is a casual hardcore raid team focused on progression raiding through Mythic content. All raiders are expected to adhere to the guidelines outlined below and realize that inability to follow these expectations can result in expulsion from the team.
All interested applicants are expected to apply via the standard application process, beginning with the application form, which can be found here. If multiple applications come in for the same position, positions will be filled by skill, personality, and perceived fit with the current team. ^
Failure to attend impacts the enjoyment of the game for 19 other people. While we understand emergencies may arise, the following is the attendance policy for Enigma's raid team:
All raiders are expected to make 80% of the raids each month
Raids are always Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-9p realm (9-midnight Eastern)
This includes being available while you are on standby
All raiders are expected to notify an officer or the raid leaders if they are unable to attend a raid
PM, in-game mail, or posting to the "Will Miss Raids" thread on the forums are all acceptable ways of communicating
The "Will Miss Raids" thread is considered the single source of truth for notification and should be your best effort for notification
If a player fails to notify a raid leader or an Officer 3 times AND fails to attend raid, they will be removed from the raid team
If a player fails to sign onto the game for 3 weeks without explanation, they will be removed from the raid team
If something arises and a player is unable to notify a raider leader or officer of an attendance change, notifying after the fact is acceptable--everyone has emergencies and no one should be worried about posting that they can't attend raid--just please drop a note to guild management after the fact so we can update our calendar appropriately
Please note that once content is on farm, Mondays may be utilized to complete "clean up" runs at raid leader discretion. These will be posted on the calendar and effort should be made to attend on a regular basis.
Any and all questions about attendance should be directed to a raid leader. ^
Raid Lockout Policy
The Raid ID belongs to the raid team and will be managed by the raid leaders (Lofaz and Raziel). Under no circumstances will a lockout be sold, loaned, or given to a member outside of Enigma. As members of the raid team, everyone works together to achieve joint success and during officer discussion a decision may be made to extend a raid lockout without prior communication of intent with the raid team.
Should it be discovered that Raid IDs are being used without express permission of the officers, Blizzard Game Masters will be involved to identify who has been abusing guild lockouts and they will be benched from progression and/or expelled from the raid team, depending on occurence of offenses.
Enigma leadership takes our guild Raid IDs very seriously and relies on them to help the raid team succeed. If you have any questions, please contact an officer. ^
Raid invites are posted 2 weeks prior to the end of the month
Standby positions will be set on the raid calendar when invites are posted
Raid invites are confirmed on Sunday nights by the raid leaders and will allow players to determine if they are confirmed or on standby
When signing up for raids, please understand that the raid leaders are translating your sign-up in the following fashion:
Accepted: Able to attend. Players who Accept the calendar invite will only be placed on Standby if it is the player's scheduled week in the Standby rotation.
Declined: Unable to attend raid; player has notified raid leader or officer via methods listed above (Note: player does not need to go into explicit detail about why they are unable to attend; family/work/travel/etc are valid explanations)
Tentative: Player is unsure whether they will or will not be able to attend. Tentative signups will automatically be placed on Standby; the player who was scheduled for Standby per the standard rotation will be confirmed for the raid in their place. If the Tentative player is online for the raid, they will receive full Standby points and, at the raid leaders discretion, may be pulled into the raid. If the Tentative player is not online for the raid then no Standby points will be awarded.
Any and all questions about attendance should be directed to a raid leader. ^
All players are expected to be gemmed, enchanted, and properly reforged for their spec
Gems and enchants will be available via the guild bank or through the crafters list (found be pressing j and sorting by profession)
All players are expected to understand the boss fight, strategies, and their role (and cooldowns) within it
All players are expected to come prepared with flasks, pots, and any additional buff food that the guild does not provide
All players are expected to participate in forum discussions about fights currently considered progression
Understand that ad hoc reviews of character performance via logs and armory reviews of gemming, enchants, specs, glyphs, etc. may be done during post fight analysis.
Any and all questions about preparedness should be directed to a raid leader. ^
Players will be online on their raiding character and ready for a raid invite at 5:50p server
Players will be in Mumble in the raiding channel unless they are on standby, then they will be in another channel (or in raid channel listening) should they need to be pulled in
Players will be repaired and at 100% durability
Players will be able to accept summons to the raid location or travel to there and be ready for first pull at 6:00p server
Any and all questions about pre-raid preparation should be directed to a raid leader. ^
No crafting/enchanting/gemming will be done during raid
Break is called around 7:30p server and lasts 10 minutes; a ready check will be issued to see if you are back at the break's end
If you have a spell that is utilized by the raid (Bloodlust, battle rez, AM, Tranq, PW: B, totems), please wait for a raid leader to call for it to be used
No trains or other distracting toys unless break has been called
Keep relaxed chatter limited to farm bosses or on fights where there isn't much calling being done by the raid leaders--we're here to have fun, but we're also here to kill things!
Clear, effective, and brief communication--if you can say it in 2 words, do it
If you have suggestions on how to better execute a fight and the raid leader has asked for feedback, please communicate via appropriate channels. If the raid leader has not asked for commentary, please save it for after the raid and either discuss with the raid leader immediately following the raid or post it to the Raider forum
Any and all questions about activities during raid should be directed to a raid leader. ^
Logs are posted to World of Logs and Warcraft Logs and the links are posted to a monthly thread stickied in the Raider forum
Loot is posted to EPGP Web and is accessible from the guild website
A weekly raid summary will be posted by a raid leader after each week of raiding
Sign up for the next's week raids if you haven't already
Post commentary to the boss fight thread on the forums about areas for improvement as a team and any specifics that you noticed that we could capitalize on
Players are highly encourages to review their performance data recorded in the nightly log files
Raid leaders will be reviewing logs on a weekly basis
If you are unsure how to read the log and would like to understand the data, please feel free to schedule time with Blashyrk, Lofaz, and Raziel to review
Any and all questions about activities after raid should be directed to a raid leader. ^
Enigma uses EPGP for loot priority. EP is awarded after each boss downing and attempts on progression bosses. GP is the cost of the item you are attempting to purchase. You can view your rankings on the website here or in game by typing /epgp once you have the addon installed.

When loot drops, the following options are available to players:
Main Spec: This piece is an upgrade for the piece it is replacing. It is a higher ilvl than what you currently have equipped.
There is a chance that a piece that is a higher ilvl would NOT be a main spec upgrade. Please see the following scenario: The item may be higher ilevel, but the stats work out worse. Assume you're wearing a piece with 800 <stat>, and a piece with 860 <stat> drops that's 5 ilvl higher. Normally, this would be an upgrade. But your 800 <stat> has 2 gem sockets, and a 60 <stat> socket bonus, giving you 860+ <stat>. In this case, it would be up to you if you wanted to do Main Spec, or Minor Upgrade. You're breaking a 2/4p set bonus for something you wouldn't use right now. If you have 2pc Tier gloves, and higher ilvl gloves dropped, it's ok to roll Minor Upgrade since you won't be using them until later on.
Minor Upgrade: Lateral movement gear. Gear is the same item lvl as what you are currently wearing, but the stats vary.
Offspec: Usable by your offspec.
Pass: You have no interest in the item.
It is in your best interest to take loot as it appears on a boss based on the mathematical calculations involved in the priority system that EPGP follows.
Raid Leaders will regularly decay the standings when the EP value goes over 1,000. This is usually done on a weekly basis.
If you are interested in a piece of loot for transmog, please whisper the raid leader for them to make a determination.
If you have concerns about how a loot item was handled in game, please speak to the guild's loot master, Lofaz. ^
